THEY KNEW AS SOON AS THEY WROTE “BY A THREAD” THAT IT WAS GOING TO BE THE FIRST SINGLE FOR THE NEW ALBUM. It's the heaviest song on the album and the band felt it was the best choice to start with to show how much their sound has evolved since their last EP. The lyrics mostly revolve around substance abuse, addiction and anxiety which they thought a lot of people could relate to.
